The annual Half Marathon Weekend is coming soon with many activities from Oct 19-Oct 23rd in the beautiful and historic UNESCO heritage town of Luang Prabang, Laos. This is an opportunity for locals, expats and tourists to have a great time while supporting the Lao Friends Hospital for Children.

The charity race takes place on Sunday, October 22 and weaves through streets of golden temples and roads by the serene water banks of the Mekong and Nam Kham Rivers.

In 2016, the race welcomed almost 1,000 runners representing 34 countries including Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and the US, raising USD$53,543 to support the provision of free medical care at Lao Friends Hospital for Children.

The race features 21K, 14K and 7K race courses, and starts soon after the monks have completed their alms giving procession, making for an engaging and fun day for all runners.

There are a number of activities occurring over the 5 days.
